Long time no blog.

Some subtle new things going on at The Flying Banzini. We are still growing. Still trying to understand how best to serve our neighborhood.

First, sadly, the patio is gone for another year. See you again in April (March if we are really, really lucky). The city requires that patios be removed by Nov 15 just in case the sidewalk ploughs need to get rolling. Last year there was no snow at Christmas but then there was lots. Lots and lots. It was an eternal winter after that. Hoping for a shorter winter this year. Restaurants like spring.

Two most obvious additions are a kids menu and nightly specials:

Sunday 5:30 to close – Family night. Free kids meal with purchase of combo meal and beverage.

Monday 5:30 to close – Pizza party! All pizzas $10.95. Eat in or pickup.

Tuesday 5:30 to close – Gluten free night. All gluten free meals at regular price.

Wednesday 5:30 to close – Pizza and salad night. Small pizza and small salad $9.95.

We have added a kids menu.

We are taking Christmas party bookings.

And, we are starting to do a lot more catering. Chef Mat makes some incredible sandwich platters. I am really proud of them and feel that they are a cut above the field. Next time you are in, please take a catering menu back to work. We will deliver. Soon adding mid-morning/breakfast platters too. The Flying Banzini – not just for lunch anymore.
