Let me introduce to you… The Flying Banzini Menu!

It was almost one year ago to the day that I first stated to imagine my menu. Here we are, very close to our opening menu.

THE FLYING BANZINI Opening Menu (Dave’s draft June 8, 2013)

Flying Banzini Soft Bun Sandwiches

Fresh carved roast meats served on fresh baked soft white focaccia bun or fresh baked soft whole wheat bun (gluten free roll is available).

We take great care in the preparation of our roasts. This is what we do best.

Porchetta

Slow roast, brined pork leg, seasoned with fennel seeds, sweet chilies, sage, and sea salt. Served with crackling.

Beef Outside Round

Rubbed with rosemary, sea salt, Bytown Beanery coffee grounds, and horseradish. Served with horseradish rosemary cream.

 

Flying Banzini Fennel Sausage

Whimsical and unique, Banzini Fennel Sausage is our chef’s own recipe made with 70% pork and 30% lamb.

Banzini Hot Fennel Sausage or Banzini Sweet Fennel Sausage. Served on fresh baked soft white focaccia bun or fresh baked soft whole wheat bun (gluten free roll is available).

Served with roast peppers and onions.

 

Flying Banzini Panini

Served on white or multigrain focaccia, pressed and grilled.

1. Lovin’, Touchin’, Squeezin’ (pork)

Porchetta, oven dried tomatoes, arugula, honey Dijon, sage mayo, red onions, and provolone cheese.

2. Zooma Zooma (beef)

Beef outside round, beef steak tomatoes, red onion jam, arugula, horseradish rosemary cream, and cheddar cheese.

3. You Sexy Thing (vegetarian)

Roast balsamic beets, charred tempeh, tomato, cucumber, red onion, arugula, and provolone cheese.

4. Easy, Easy, Baby (vegetarian)

Roasted red peppers, oven dried tomatoes, spinach, red onion, black olive tapenade, and goat cheese.

5. Flames of Love (ham)

Prosciutto, arugula, oven dried tomato, red onion, fresh basil, balsamic reduction, fig tapenade, and boccocini.

6. Late in the Evening (chicken)

Roast chicken breast, smoked bacon, granny smith apple, spinach, tomato, lemon chive mayo, and Quebec brie.

7. A Pretty Good Love (vegetarian)

Portobello mushroom, roast peppers, eggplant, zucchini, pesto mayo, arugula, and goat cheese.

8. Swing Swing Swing (salmon)

Smoked salmon, spinach, pickled red onions, capers, and dill cream cheese.

 

Flying Banzini Personal Pizzas

Our pizza dough is made in house, hand stretched, and available as classic white or multi-grain (gluten free is available).

Our pizza sauce is made in house from select San Marzano tomatoes.

1. Little Less Conversation (pork)

Crumbled Flying Banzini sweet fennel sausage, porchetta, roasted apples, crackling, fresh sage, pickled red onions, San Marzano tomato sauce, and mozzarella.

2. Big Town Playboy (beef)

Beef outside round, caramelized onions, roast red peppers, horseradish crème, San Marzano tomato sauce, and crumbled Quebec blue cheese.

3. Wasting Away Again (vegetarian)

Fresh basil, bocconcini cheese, San Marzano tomato sauce, and parmigiano cheese.

4. The Steve McQueen (vegetarian)

Roast beets, fig tapenade, beet greens, fresh basil, balsamic reduction, goat cheese, and mozzarella cheese.

5. The Joker (ham)

Proscuitto …. (not complete)

6. Papa Loves Mambo (chicken)

Pulled roast chicken, fresh tomato, pesto, baby spinach, goat cheese, and mozzarella cheese.

7. Lazy Mary (vegetarian)

Roast Portobello mushroom, spinach, charred peppers, roast garlic, and boccocini cheese.

8. That’s Amore (sausage)

Crumbled Flying Banzini spicy fennel sausage, roast red peppers, garlic, caramelized onions, fresh basil, San Marzano tomato sauce, and mozzarella cheese.

Flying Banzini Salads and Sides

Our salads are served as a side to one of our sandwiches or pizzas. Or, you may enjoy a meal size salad. Our chefs go, daily, to the nearby Parkdale Market to source fresh produce. Thus, you will encounter small variations from day to day.

Flying Banzini Caesar Salad

Romaine hearts with radicchio, tossed in bacon, roast garlic, and Italian anchovy dressing. Topped with shaved parmesan cheese, porchetta crackling, sour dough croutons, and fresh lemon wedge.

Market Fresh House Greens Salad

Arugula, cherry tomatoes, paper-thin red onions, roast peppers, and an assortment of seasonal greens and vegetables

Choice of dressing:

Lemon, honey and thyme; or

Pesto balsamic vinaigrette

Roast Beet Salad

Roast beets tossed in a balsamic honey glaze, with red onions, goat cheese, pistachios, and capers.

Potato Wedges

Roast yellow flesh potatoes tossed with roast garlic, olive oil, lemon, oregano and smoked paprika. Served with chipotle mayo.
